Election Modalities
As the year 2024 is here, so the official anticipated date for the Yoruba national community in Italy national election draws more closer
The members of the Yoruba community across Italy prepares to elect new national executive officers to drive the affairs of the association for another two years of national leadership.
So the expectations are high as the January 20th date is just behind the corner. But I n absolute readiness of the national electoral committee for the long awaited to be free and fair election.
The electoral committee which is the official body inaugurated to champion the affairs of the election has officially releasing the following information as the “modality of the 2024 national executive officers election. Everyone expected to go through this in order to get prepared for the election date.
1. Positions Available Election
The following positions will be the contestable position on the day of election. Five candidates would be contesting on the ballot papers as two candidates would be contesting for the position of the big whale, which is the national president, while other three candidates are unopposed candidates in the position listed below:

The committee will provide the following materials in place for the efficient and transparent smooth running process of the election

*Method of Voting
On-site voting
YNCI eligible members will cast a ballot in-person at the designated polling place (MANTOVA).
Polling will be done on paper, with manual tabulation. (during a limited polling time)
Requirements From All Regional President:
The Electoral Committee will create an electoral list (by compiling a list of the eligible voters per region)
Full list of YNCI eligible voters and their contact details. (We will need the ID CARD of each delegate latest 10th of January 2024).
All regional leaders would be expected to compile the list of their two delegates and one observer. Regions with an existing candidate would have to provide only one candidate for the election with one observer. Submission should be made on or latest 10th of January 2024. We urge everyone’s compliances.
The committee also use this opportunity to officially declare Mr Saubana Raheem (Omo Alhaja) candidacy open for campaign as the committee kindly urged all the national platforms admin officers to temporarily restrict members from posting anything other than the election campaign within this electoral period.
